Illegal electric bikes.

Today Monday 3rd of March 2025 your local Neighbourhood policing team have been on foot patrol when they have come across two males riding illegal electric bikes in Lancaster City Centre. These bikes have been immediately seized under 165 of the Road Traffic Act for the riders having no license, no insurance and the bikes having no MOT certificate. As your local neighbourhood police team we strive to make the streets safer for everyone to be able to walk safely around our City and we know the use of these bikes causes many concerns. We will continue to seize and remove these bikes from people riding around on them illegally.
